Daniel Chadalakian Kurz – The Story of a Storyteller
Daniel Chadalakian Kurz was born in Brazil into a creative, open-minded family where artistry ran deep: musicians, authors, painters, and filmmakers shaped his childhood.
From an early age, Daniel discovered his passion for music. While still in school, he won Baden-Württemberg’s largest youth talent competition, hosted by dasDing, the youth radio station of SWR. This success opened the doors to major studios, first CD releases, live concert experiences, and professional contracts and record deals.
Driven by both artistic vision and entrepreneurial spirit, Daniel founded his own record label, Royal Family Records, even before graduating high school. Supporting young artists, he collaborated with established Hip Hop figures such as Jonesmann, Shuko, DannyFresh, Braille, and Olli Banjo—laying the foundation for his later career in the music industry.
After high school, he pursued professional music studies at the renowned Berklee College of Music, specializing in classical composition and orchestration. His talent was recognized with the prestigious Phil Ramone Celebrity Scholarship.
Daniel went on to gain invaluable experience in Hollywood, working for major studios such as NBCUniversal, 20th Century Fox, Showtime, and History Channel. His music was featured in productions like Penny Dreadful, Sleepy Hollow, Supergirl, and Jordan Peele’s remake of The Twilight Zone.
In 2016, Daniel once again proved his versatility by winning the world’s largest short film competition, with international German film star Matthias Schweighöfer among the jury. From then on, he expanded into screenwriting, acting, and producing, creating short films and commercials, including projects for major international companies.
During the pandemic, when the film industry slowed down, Daniel briefly turned to Twitch, where he found success as DizzlChizzl and even set world records in the horror video game Dead by Daylight—some of which he still holds today. Yet this chapter was only temporary. Today, he no longer streams—his full dedication lies with his two great callings: music and film, a fate he has pursued for more than three decades.
Daniel is a true polymath. Alongside his work in film, he continues to compose and release music under both identities: as DizzlChizzl, with genre-spanning productions, and under his real name, where he devotes himself to classical composition. His symphony Moment of Silence is available on all major streaming platforms and marked the beginning of his 12-year legacy project: 16 albums, all connected to one central theme. This project will culminate in 2026 with the recording of the Moment of Silence live concert.
Daniel Chadalakian Kurz embodies creativity, passion, and determination. A composer, filmmaker, and storyteller, he inspires audiences worldwide.
